In 2008 KMIR - TV6 interviewed Eric during their
live morning newscast. The interview was
broadcast to channel 6 viewers from the DJ
booth at El Destino Nightclub in Indio, CA
Eric Ornelas is a  radio host, mix show producer, nightclub DJ, print journalist, and Billboard reporter who
specializes in electronic dance music and dance music video. Eric has performed for enthusiastic crowds in
several  major American cities including Las Vegas, Miami, San Diego, and Los Angeles. Eric currently maintains
nightclub residencies near his home base in Palm Springs, California.

"The Pure Energy Mix Show" is Eric's wildly popular radio program which debuted in 1999 in Palm Springs. Mixed
and hosted by Eric, the show aims to promote and celebrate Dance music and dance club culture by keeping the
Dance music genre alive on commercial radio airwaves. A commercial-free version of the show is also available
on the Internet at  iDanceRadio.fm and Sobel Nation Radio.

In 2008, Billboard magazine added Eric to its panel of national DJs that make up the its Dance/Club Play chart.  In
2010,
Pulp magazine, Palm Springs, and Grab magazine, Chicago, began publishing Eric's bi-weekly music
column. Eric has interviewed some of the top artists and DJs in Dance music, including Enrique Iglesias, Linda
Clifford, Inaya Day, Dave Aude, Wynter Gordon, Jessie & the Toy Boys, DJ Bill Bennet, DJ Manny Lehman, and
Tony Moran, just to name a few.

Eric gives back to his local community by donating his DJ  services to organizations such as the Desert Aids
Project, Equality California, the Human Rights Campaign, as well as the cities of La Quinta and Coachella for the
Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Eric currently attends California State University, San Bernardino, where he is earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree
in Mass Media Communication.
