Pure Energy
Eric Ornelas is a popular radio host/mix show producer, nightclub DJ, and
Billboard Magazine club chart reporter based out of Palm Springs, California.
His DJ career began in 1996 at Palm Springs legendary nightclub CC
Construction Company. Since then, Eric has enjoyed success spinning at
various nightclubs in Palm Springs and other well-known resort destinations
such as San Diego, Long Beach, Las Vegas, Miami.
In the summer of 1998 Eric entered the field of radio broadcasting, joining the
mix team at commercial radio station KKUU-FM in Palm Springs. By 2003 Eric
was pulling double duty, hosting both The Pure Energy Mixshow on U-92.7,
and the afternoon drive program at KKUU’s sister station STAR 106.9. In 2008
internet radio station iDanceRadio.fm added Eric to their mixshow DJ lineup and
Billboard Magazine selected Eric as one of its select few club chart reporters.
Some of Eric’s career highlights include spinning for industry professionals &
dance music fans alike during the Billboard Dance Music Summit in Las
Vegas, and also the Winter Music Conference in Miami. In 2007 Eric appeared
on camera with dance artist Paul Lekakis in the music video remake of
Paul’s 1987 classic, Boom Boom Boom (Let’s Go Back To My Room).
